When New Lenox seamstress Cheryl Karge, owner of House of Threadz, found out masks were needed, she remodeled her living room as an emergency sewing room. With material and elastic on her couch, Karge continues to work 12-hour days to fill the needs.
“I began making masks to help essential workers that don’t have any,” Karge said.
So far, she has made over 150 masks and has donated all of them.
