New Lenox Elite seventh-grade cheerleaders win state title

The New Lenox Elite cheerleading team capped its first season as a new program in memorable fashion, as all seven Elite teams qualified for the Illinois Recreational Cheerleading Association state finals and the seventh-grade team won the state championship last month.

“It was probably one of the best things a coach could experience,” seventh-grade coach Jenny Cryer said. “It was very exciting.”
