For its 47th annual Halloween Fest, the New Lenox Chamber of Commerce put on a larger event than ever before.

More than 700 people attended the festival, held Saturday, Oct. 25, at the New Lenox Public Library.

Ghosts, goblins and cartoon characters of all ages showed up to paint pumpkins, enter the costume contest and participate in a trunk-or-treat in the library’s parking lot.
