Master artist Pablo Picasso used oil and steel to create some of his most famous paintings and sculptures, but 4-year-old Addison Thayer prefers watercolor and play dough when crafting her works of art.

Thayer, a New Lenox resident, was among the group of children who showed their artistic flair during the Masters of the Museum event held Saturday, March 8, at the New Lenox Public Library.

“I like to do all kinds of art, especially the painting,” Thayer said, as she finished up her latest masterpiece.
