For the more than 25.8 million people in the U.S. diagnosed with diabetes, learning to live well with the disease can be a challenge. Diabetes is a silent disease that occurs when there is too much sugar in the bloodstream, and if left untreated can harm eyes, heart, nerves and kidneys. Silver Cross Hospital is offering a free lecture on how to have good health while living with diabetes to help avoid harmful effects of the disease.
