A few weeks ago, I attended the convocation and graduation ceremonies at the University of Illinois in Urbana, and the graduation speaker they had at the main convocation ceremony really blew his speech out of the park.

Max Levchin, a 1997 graduate from University of Illinois and co-founder of PayPal, spoke about taking risks and chasing your goals — something that really struck me, even as I squinted against the sun at the specks of hundreds of graduates sitting down on the football field.
