Since graduating from college, I’ve realized that being a journalist can be a pretty thankless job compared to most.
Working at a weekly paper, I know I am shielded from a lot of the negative, mean and even threatening comments and calls that my brethren in larger dailies face every day.
But here in the Lincoln-Way area, I think I’ve got it pretty good. And my recent award from the National Newspaper Association was a little reminder that the work I do is appreciated.
