A man named a suspect in eight identity theft cases has been arrested.

New Lenox Police detectives — with the assistance from U.S. Postal inspectors, the Crestwood Police Department and the Cook County Sheriff’s Department — executed a search warrant on Alan L. Bell, 28, 14039 Kilpatrick Ave. Apt. No. 2N, in Crestwood, on Thursday, Sept. 26, as he was suspected in numerous identity theft cases reported to New Lenox police over the past few months, according to a press release from New Lenox Police issued the same day.
