At 72, New Lenox resident Verona Sawyer is “getting up there” in age and believes it’s important to be informed about Alzheimer’s.

That’s why she attended Manhattan-New Lenox TRIAD’s February meeting, featuring a presentation by Hadi Pagonis, manager of education and outreach for the Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Illinois. TRIAD is made up of organizations and agencies from New Lenox and Will County with a goal to develop, maintain and implement programs for seniors that focus on safety, health and crime prevention.
